Fundamental Handgun Shooting Course

The focus of this course is to instill sound handgun marksmanship fundamentals with live-fire practice that will help make you a accurate, consistant, and safe handgun shooter. The course is ideal for both new handgun shooters (with no or minimal handgun shooting experience) or for a current handgun shooter (who has bad habits that need to be fixed).

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS:
Students must be at least fifteen years of age (must be accompanied by a parent through the age of 17) or be 18 and over. Student must be able to understand and be able to demonstrate safe handling of a firearm at all times. Students (and parents of students under 18) must complete a Liability Waiver Form.
NO handgun experience is required. An excellent course for new or experienced shooters alike.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Absolutely none!
I provide EVRYTHING for this course! Including: Pistols, ammunition, targets and instruction!

COURSE CURRICULUM:
This course is a combination of classroom instruction and numerous live fire drills using realistic and state of the art Smith and Wesson Military and Police model training guns. These pistols are the same weight and feel as real guns, function like the real pistol, and shoot a non-lethal bullett that is very accurate up to 7 yards!

  • Safety, Comfort, and Competancy - goals and responsibilities.
  • Stance, Grip, Extension - proper stance, 2 handed shooting grip, and handgun extension to the target to create a bio-mechanical lock for recoil control
  • Trigger control
  • Precision shooting/sight alignment and defensive sight alignment

  • Balance of Speed and Precision - learning to recognize the balance of speed and precision and your personal strengths and weaknesses so you may improve more rapidly

WHERE THE COURSES ARE CONDUCTED, DATES AND TIMES OF THE COURSE:
This course is conducted at my indoor training facility located in Linden, Virginia. Directions to our facility may be found by clicking on the "Directions to Us" link on your left, and will also be E-Mailed to you upon registration for the course.
This course is held on either a Saturday or Sunday, starting at 1:30PM and ending at approximately 5:30PM. Doors open at 1:00PM and close at 1:30PM for student sign in.

COST OF THE COURSE, COURSE SCHEDULE and REGISTERING FOR A COURSE:
The cost of this excellent course with me providing everything is only $50.00!.
When registering online you may pay the full course price of $50.00 or a $25.00 deposit to secure a seat in the class. The $25.00 balance is due in cash, check, or credit card on the day of the course.

A maximum of 12 students are allowed in the course, and the course will not be held unless 4 students have registerede. If 4 students have not registered for the course within 2 days of the course date, the students who have registered will be re-scheduled for the next course date.

PLEASE NOTE:
Fees paid are non-refundable. If something arises to prevent your attendance at the scheduled course date, and I am notified by phone or E-Mail at least 72 hours prior to the date of your course, I will reschedule you for another date and time. If you do not attend your first session without contacting me, or if you are unable to attend the second date and time scheduled for any reason, you will forfeit all fees paid.
I do reserve the right to reschedule a course date without refunding the course fee, in the event of illness, insufficient number of students, weather, or other factors which are not in my control.
